How to remove Social Guard’s access to your account, and how to permanently delete your data.

1. Remove Social Guard from your Facebook or Instagram account

This stops Social Guard from accessing your account going forward.

Open Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Apps and Websites.
Find Social Guard in your list of connected apps.
Select it and tap Remove.

For Instagram accounts connected directly, this can also be managed from your Instagram account’s Apps and Websites settings.

2. Delete your Social Guard account and all your data

This permanently deletes your Social Guard account, your connected account records, and all content we backed up on your behalf, including the stored files themselves.

Open the Social Guard app.
Go to Settings > Delete Account.
Follow the confirmation steps. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you can’t access the app, email us at support@getsocialguardapp.com from your registered email address, and we will process your deletion request.

Note on subscriptions: deleting your Social Guard account does not cancel an active Google Play or Apple App Store subscription. Please cancel that separately from your device’s subscription settings to stop future billing.
